Why choose composite
- No rot or splinters: the capped shell keeps water out.
- No staining or oiling: just a wash down when it needs it.
- Grip in the wet: a textured surface that doesn't turn green.
- Colour that lasts: quality capped boards are made to resist fading in open, sunny gardens.
How we build it
A composite deck needs a frame built for it: closer joists, airflow and drainage underneath, hidden clips and expansion gaps so the boards can move with the seasons. Edges are finished with mitred picture-frame borders and fascias for a clean, finished look.
Choosing colours
Warm browns and teak tones suit the mellow red brick of Northallerton and Romanby; greys and charcoals work with modern homes and render. We bring samples so you can see them against your own walls.
Common questions
Does composite get hot in the sun?
Darker boards warm up in strong sun. For an open, south-facing garden, a lighter shade stays cooler underfoot.
How long does it last?
Quality capped composite is made to last many years with very little upkeep, on a frame built to match.
